I have one of the new Cuda Maxx on order. Given that they are having a few issues (completely normal for a first run on something), would it be smart to wait until they have made more of them? Maybe the price will come down later?

Any comments?

Dave, Would it be smart to wait to buy a maxx? Sure, that's what I'm
doing. Any first edition of any product will always have production
issues crop up. I find get the most bang for my buck by waiting just
a bit to buy. I don't need anything , I mean anything , bad enough to
pay full price for it. And I never do. That's why I'm called..........
Tightwad.

I wouldn't be concerned about the quality of the first knives to be released. Darrel Ralph is reported to be taking a personal hand in resolving the QC issues mentioned. Combine that with the fact that Camillus wants to this right the first time, I don't think there will be any issues to worry about when they are finally released. I am anxiously waiting to myself for one.

Camillus is so concerned with the QC of this knife and that it comes out perfect that they delayed release until they work out some issues THEY discovered. There will be no difference in quality from the first knife to hit the market as the 10,000th.

Camillus and DDR are giving it a 200% effort to make this knife an absolute success. I cannot wait, as soon as they hit the streets I am gonna own some.................Ira;)
