Custom 3" WeeHawk

A real neat early 3" knife. Great, highly grained cocobolo insert material in the stainless handles. What I find fasinating about this knife is it's the only custom I've ever seen, other than the brand new 49SPL, that has 1/8" blade stock. It's been used a little and carried in it's original sheath so, what the hell, I gots to use it!

Believe it or not, it's shorter than a BM35!

Thanks for sharing Dudley.., I've only seen one anything like that (but not Cocobolo)...B-SC, and I think it was Bocote???...and NOT FOR SALE

I have a three inch custom and I think the blade is a little thicker than normal. IT has skeletonized handles.

I think 'normal' is the same 3/16" thick blade stock found on almost ALL customs since the inception of PCC in 1979..........The only 'custom' regularly produced with the 1/8" blade that I'm aware of is the brand new BM 49SPL and the soon to come out BM 49-01. I was told by a very astute collector that he had only seen 2 other 3" balis that had 1/8" blade material and one of those had the blade signed by Jody Samson!

I checked all over the one I've got and couldn't find the signature.......

....... Maybe next time!

Here is apicture of the Jody Samson signature and serial numbers on 3" balisongs and they have 1/8" blade.

My three inch has a 3/16 thick blade and is a bowie as pictured above.
