I am really tired of my kershaw offset aluminum splatter scales..what would you charge for custom heavily milled g10 scales like the ones on a benchmade 950 Rift, I really love those patterns. Or some Black and Blue Micarta???

Thanks,
marc

Here you go.

And one with the clip side.

It has torsion bars on both sides, so there would be a bit of extra work.

Hope this helps.

I don't know. If its inlayed precisely for the torsion springs to move on the undersides of each scale I'm not really interested in going there personally. In all liklihood I don't have the means to duplicate that area out for the springs doing things by hand the way I do. Having never seen that particular folder I cannot say for sure but based on the two torsion bar info I'm inclined to pass.

Sorry.

Thanks for asking though.

You're welcome.

I've got a set of G-10 scales somewhere, if I turn them up, I'll scan the insides and post them up here so you'll have it as a reference.

That would be a great help. Thanks again.

Here's the inside of the G10 scales I mentioned (finally figured out where I put them).
If you click the image, it'll take you to a much larger version.

Note the two extra holes near the pivot hole on the left scale. Those are where the nuts for the clip go. Really easy to not notice there were nuts set in there when you take it apart (they are black).

Yeah I'm sure I'd pass on that looking at it. Too much chance of just wasting material. I'm sure there is a metal cover for both those inlayed out slots and I'd never get those the same with the equipment I have. Now Reese Weiland may with his set up. So the OP may want to contact Reese and see if he can do it or would entertain trying. I know Reese has done some inlayed scales on Emersons and other folders now and then. His CNC set up could handle that type work. http://www.reeseweilandknives.com/
