Blade man (Matt) does an excellent job of modifying Cold Steel hawks. Here's a trailhawk I recently purchased from him:

You have a choice of haft finish and cord wrap color. I chose an oak finish with brown wrap:

The head is extensively reshaped by thinning out the blade and reducing the poll size.

Finally, the bottom of the blade is made scary sharp!

I haven't even had the new hawk in the field yet, but I think it's going to be a lot of fun to carry it into the woods for a tryout.

Matt also does a killer job on the Rifleman Hawk. Hmmm, wonder if I can afford another one ...... :confused:
 
That looks great!!

I like the choice of oak and brown wrap. Looks nice together.

Thanks VL. Blade man himself was surprised at how well the color combo works. Gives the hawk a slightly subdued natural appearance.
 
Thanks for the comments everyone. These are a lot of fun to do, and Bill's hawk is one of my favorites I've done so far!
 
Those CS hawks are a great bang-for-the-buck and really fun to customize. Enjoy!
