You know, I always feel like I need a smoke after browsing Dave's site...

I know what you mean Brian. But like all internet sex, without the ability to touch, fondle, and cuddle, it's not that satisfying an experiance. I prefer the real thing. Lusting after other peoples knives (especially if they are for sale) always makes me feel sooo dirty

Brian, it actually can be worse. I was at Dave's house last November, and was FORCED to look at and hold some of those awesome knives. Dave actually had the nerve to make me give them back to him!

That Dave is an awesome guy and his knives are just as good (the ones he makes and sells).

He is one of the many people (including at least three so far in this thread) that I have been very lucky as a person to have gotten to know a little.)

Every time I think I am deep into what is a hobby to me. I think of Dave - a collector who decided to make knives and became an ABS Mastermith amd realize I am only in ankle deep.

I am indeed humbled and flattered by the kind words. A large part of collecting is sharing with others, that is why this year at the Blade Show West I had a display of some of my knives for the first time, I usually sell my own work and one or two others but the blade show was almosr exclusively other makers pieces. Recent acqusitions that I will shoot and get posted are 1.three piece Bob Loveless ste (Big Bear, fighter and Bootknife all in Desert Ironwood Burl) . 2.S.R. johnson Pearl big Bear with Steve Lindsay engraving (Still at Steve's getting engraved). 3. Wonderful Warren Osborne all steel folder 001, with Pedrini engraving of Tigers and you can see my five piece matched set of Loveless knives in the Weyer book Points of Interest 5. Will continue to shoot the rare and collectible to post,
Thanks all and look for www.exquisiteknives.com coming soon
