Can anyone give me information on the Cutco Hunting knife model #1769 fully serrated blade? (abilities, value). I just received one as a gift, and I am not familiar with Cutco.

Thank You.

Cutco is a high-end kitchen knife company. I own a couple of serrated cutco knives (Kitchen knives) and they are very good. I don't know if they are made the same as the Hunting knife. Kitchen knives and hunting knives usually aren't that closely related and if the same steel is used, it might be a little on the weak side.

Or at least high-cost...

I am actually partial to knives like Henckels for the kitchen...

And I don't really like serrations, except for cutting bread.

tatsu,

There used to be a Cutco sales rep here, but I haven't seen him in a long time. I believe his name was Sean something.

A further research pointed me to this discussion: http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum19/HTML/000075.html
The guy's name is Sean Haggard, and if you click his profile, you can e-mail him and ask some info on your knife.
