A Cutlass in snakewood with black liners, and brass pins, for mqqn. The photos do not do this wood justice.

Oh my!!!
That turned out nice. Knowing how good Andy is with his camera, I can't wait to see his pics.
Is it the same specs as mine? The one that I will finally get home to see tomorrow?:D

Damn John that is fine! Definitely did not disappoint. That blade looks serious too. What's the thickness on that sucker? As always, fantastic looking work!

Same specs, but only 1/8" thick compared to your 3/16". Is that a polite way of saying my photos suck? :D

Thanks John! That is spectacular!

Thank you for getting it done and the pictures posted!

Another one I can't wait to get in my hands!

I think I know what wood I want for my RN9.

That is a very fine design, well "pantsed"(?) in the snakewood. Going to have to try some fo this new wood, it is all coming out so well.

Not at all. I just know how good Andy's are.
1/8 inch, that will be a cutter!!!

I like that wood and the knife! Maybe a little shorter blade for a carry. Very nice work though.

John and I were planning on one around 5 inches or so and thinner stock. Then my truck engine blew and I had to put it off. I think it would be an absolute cutting machine.

Just so everyone knows the story of this knife, check out this thread -

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/901102-Protourist!?highlight=cutlass

protourist designed this knife and then allowed some of us lucky stiffs the opportunity to play with it while Mack was out driving his old rig around the country.

The only modifications to Mack's design was thinner stock and three pins.

I tend to like thinner blades and this was a design I had to have. Nice work there, driver!

What,no Maple Burl Andy?
Your other JKs are going to be jealous of that beautiful Snakewood, nice choice & nice work John.

I was out in the shop this morning playing Zorro with this one. I hung some newspaper sheets from the rafters and was happily slashing away, when in walks The Boss. She just looked at me with one of those "what the heck are you doing now" looks, and walked back out. It`s great having a wife who puts up with my goofiness! :o

I can envision John slashing at newspaper in the garage - I'll bet that was a sight!

Mykel - I just like the highly figured woods - I am anxious to see the snakewood in person!

My Cutlass arrived today, and I definitely have a new favorite scale material!

Thanks for the great execution Mr. K, and thanks Mack for a great design!

I know the feeling. My own tries to get me to grow up but let me be ...
