I just received this knife this mourning. This knife is GREAT!!!!!!!!
This by far is my favorite tactical folder. Its slim, tough, and looks outstanding. Dual thumb studs, bar lock and perfect size blade.
The grips on the handle are great, it feels like an extension of my arm in hand, and i can stab anything without my hand slipping.
Mr. Rlaph was great to deal with considering he was quick to respond to any of my emails and any questions i had. Great service, communication and a badass knife. If ya don't have one, get one!
Im going to get the one with g10 inlay next week. Im sure everyone else that has one of these is just as satisfied as i am.

Got one. Anodized Ti and carbon fiber. Great knife. I love it. Smoothest frame lock I have ever experienced. Excellent ergonomics. The only question mark is the 440C-OS steel. Darrel says that by optimizing the heat treat they got similar performance to D-2, but I will have to see for myself. I am planning a custom upgrade to a S30V blade anyway.

How much do they offer the S30v for? I know damascus and talonite is a $300 option, but havn't heard anything on S30V.

I don't know. About $100, I think. Gonna' make for a pretty expensive knife, total cost. Might havta evaluate the standard 440C "OS" blade first.

I'm very interested in getting one of these, but I'd like to find out how the 440C performs compared to a D2 or perhaps an S30V blade.

I realize that these can be upgraded, but I'd rather get the knife "as is" and not worry about sending it back for upgrades.

I think Steve's idea is a good one..., to test out the 440C as heat treated by Darrel and see some results. Darrel has been doing lots of testing with various heat treats (including the CPM steels).., and if he says it "performs".., I'd be surprised to hear otherwise.
