These things ROCK!!!!!! The handles looked funky at first and I wasn't sure how they'd feel....but lemme tell ya....they melt into your hands :D

The blades are great too! At 1/8" stock and on some models an almost distal taper, these things are gonna cut like light sabers!!!

Another thing to remember is that Busse D2 is better than most...perhaps all (I'm darn curious :D ). With Busse's legendary heat treat and full deep cryo treatment D2 gets even better!
 
Well, you got me with the, cuts like a lightsaber thing.

I really liked the scimitar styled blade.

As I was sitting behind them at Blade, I kept staring at the D2 models.

The first thing I thought of was "I've gotta get one of those Tantos."

The second thing "But, uh, the curved thing with the serrations looks great too! Oh, what the hey, they won't cost too much (Between $60 and $80 is what I heard at the booth.)"

Then the groov-y D2 model started calling my name.

"Oh, for crying out loud," I thought, "I'll just get 'em all."

And I will, too.

They're that cool.

Plus, you'd need all four of em to make em weigh as much as a normal knife. They are verra light! Every one of em under 4 ounces! It's shocking.

The D2 models are almost as cool as the new Battle Mistress.

You got it right with these guys being light..... I'd almost bet with the handle's that they float....or at least darn close:eek:
 
The D2 Models were a big hit at the show. We are really excited about these.

Just another note, the final prices have yet to be determined but they will be in line with the rest of the Swamp Rat line :D:D

Just think, inexpensive D2 hunters/utility knives with great new handles and the unrivaled Swamp Rat Warranty. Good stuff :D
 
You're gonna offer the same warranty for the D2 creatures?

Nifty nifty. I promise I won't try to test these to their limits. ;)

They just feel so light . . .

What are we gonna call em, though?

I really like Ratanto, and Rat's Fang for the hawksbill-ish one. The other two, I dunno. Groovy Rat :rolleyes: maybe :D ? And the other, well . . . I'm all named out.

I dunno how some of you people do it during naming contests. I had trouble with two. :)
 
Thanks for the link! Great explanation. So will the current models in SR-101 still be made from SR-101 or will the smaller blades be switched to D2?
 
The Models we are currently making in SR101 will remain in SR101, a new hunter/utility line will be introduced in D2. The D2 line will be in addition to the current line. No immediate changes are expected in the SR101 line.

With some of the posts here, I get the impression that they are currently for sale. Have I gotten the wrong impression? If they are, how do I order one!? If they are not, does anyone know a possible date of release? Thanks for the help!

I come in I see the thread D2 models, and I think finally we can order, preorder, then I open the thread, nopers, that's not what I thought :(((
I'm gonna have a heart attack soon...
