Damascus/Ivory Pre-tactical and Damascus CQC5

Pictures of Damascus Pre-Tactical w/ Ivory handles. This is the one that was on ebay. Bought it offline...not a Viper 1 as previously posted.

That Ivory Full Dress is nice . . . not my kind of bird.

But I have ta' tell ya' . . that CQC5 ROCKS. I know from experience that pictures don't do them justice. I can only imagine what it really looks like. You really scored there.

Do you know what pattern the Damascus is? I was going to say "Vines and Roses" but I don't think so.

Congratulations! Couple of questions for ya. What logo, if any is on the pre-tactical? Do you know what kind of ivory is on the bolsters? Did you show it to Ernie to get any background information on it?

Also, does the CQC5 has the specwar logo with 2000 on it?

That Damascus CQC5 is definately sweet! The pictures do not do it justice. Jackstraw, congrtats again. I somehow knew you were going to pick that one.

Sniper, no logo on the pre-tactical. When I showed it to Ernie he told me that he made it for someone in the early '80s. Guy came to see it before Ernie had put logo on it and the buyer said not to bother. Brought his own damascus also...Steve Ferguson damascus. I went with Ernie at his request to Jim Weyer to have all 4 of my pre-tacticals photographed. Jim Weyer does all the Tactical Blades covers and a lot of work for Blade. Took one shot of each of them and then a group shot of all four. Makes one think that a book is in the works.

John, the pattern on the damascus CQC5 is Vines and Roses as you correctly thought. I am an old Grateful Dead fan, and what with the Lethal Edge skull clips and all, I prefer to call the pattern Skulls and Roses.

Sniper, checked the logo on the damascus cqc5 and it has the Specwar 2000 on it.
