tis been a while .. but here tis a pest of a blade that i finally finished with.

i have had to keep putting it aside for a while because its been a pain in the ... well yeah you get the idea.
but with a little light buffing it should be 100% finished.
(if the buffer doesnt eat it up first...fingers crossed)

its a 5160 blade, stainless fittings, lacey sheoak handle, brass twisted wire for the fluted handle .. brass bezel holding iron ore on the ricasso ..
sheath is vege-tanned .. brass fittings and brass chain.. with a iron ore ball on the very bottom that is held on loose enough that it can still spin around. (just for something different) =)

comments as welcome as ever.

That's purty! I really like the sheath; it's nice to see something a little different to keep the knife in besides the same old nylon/kydex combo or plain leather.

thank you very muchly ppls.
:D

the more i play about with this blade, the more i am liking it.

hey,

i know i made this blade a while ago ..

but i finally got around to taking a pic of the helmet that i made.. and i thought maybe someone might be interested in having a look.
(even though i was dumb enough to chop the top of it out of the pic)
and the blade in the pic was the one from this original post, so i thought i might as well post it in here ... *shrugs*

its not meant to be a pretty helm .. but it sure protects me noggen from whacks.
:D

i met up with someone the other day who is looking to save up enough to get a shortsword and helmet (somehow a matching set) from me .. so thats what prompted me to take a pic of the helmet.
anyhow ..
thanks for taking a look...
