Hi everyone, this is the first time I've posted in this forum so please bear with my lack of knowledge.

I bought a BM 42 (not a 42A) and I took a blowtorch to the Ti handles and made them colorful; purple, goldish, blue, and brown. I figured out that I prefer the regular silver handles and I was wondering if it was possible to get it back to it's original condition. The handles have been colored for several months (I've had the 42 for almost a year now) and I flip/use it a couple hours a day so I've figured that it won't wear off.

Here is what they looked like about 6 months ago, I took a torch to the handles again a couple months after that (about 2-4 months ago) so the color and design isn't exactly like that in the pictures:

Then would I use #0000 steel wool to polish it up? What is a good way to polish Ti?

I was informed that black dry/wet sandpaper would be good 400 grit and 240 grit (different grit for different areas of the balisong). What would be the best sandpaper for the job?

Thanks.

400 grit, baby oil (or other lubricant)sand the same direction as the existing grain. Looks like a satin finish to begin with and should match very closely.

If you know someone who has a belt grinder with a scotch brite belt you can recreate the original finish with the exception of inside surfaces (i.e. handle holes).

I can't believe that I typed annozing instead of annodizing
