Alright, so I just git me a SAK Recruit, and it's a neat little knife. However, I had been carrying my WengerSI before that, and am in a bit of a quandry. I love the recruit. The red scales and small blade make it very sheeple friendly, and the toothpick and tweezers come in pretty handy, but the SI is more robust and durable, plus it's extremely pocket friendly. It's slim profile makes it disappear in my pocket. It also has an awl, which is handy at times, but the Recruit's slimmer blades means they get razor sharp. I like the 84mm saks, but the SI is very cool as well. Anyone ever have this problem?

Nah, I just picked one knife and stuck with it. ;)

Frequently.

I saw a new Victorinox at a knife show this weekend that was like the Soldier model but much slimmer. Wish I had bought it now.

SAKS are one knife that it is hard to just stay with one model. There's always one with another tool or different combination. They do a good job in coming up with new ideas.

One SAK I really have stayed with is the Classic. I've carried one for many, many years - every day. My latest of that size is the one called the Bladeless - it has scissors, screwdriver/bottle opener tweezers (I substituted a toothpick) and pen. Great for flying.
