No...I don't mean Al Bundy's favorite magazine. I am referring to the big knives of the slip joint world, the hunters, the big clasp knives, knives that are big. I know there are some salesman display pieces out there but I am referring to the more commonly found knives. I don't often carry mine, even in a belt pouch they are large and heavy on the belt...doesn't keep me from collecting them when I can however. So let's see those Bigguns!

First up is a Ka Bar, a gift from StuntDouble...

next we have Cold Steel...

and of course a Case, a three dot...

now a single blade Union Cutlery...

And for those who believe size does matter an Opinel with a full size soddie under it...

Hi,

Those are some nice ones. I like the Kabar and that Case looks like it was well loved and used.

I wonder why Cold Steel no longer makes traditional designs like your Hunter. I've never owned a Cold Steel, but from the photos I've seen they look well made. Certainly their Carbon V was good stuff.

My biggest slippie is a Case Gunboat, which isn't in the same league as the big boys like yours.

You have to understand Cold Steel doesn't make knives...they have them made for them. The Classic line as well as Carbon V were made by Camillus, when Camillus went out of business CS lost their maker for the knives and never contracted with anyone else for the slippies.

Good looking knives ya'll...I had forgotten Buck made that one. But surely there are others...

I love the big Schrade Clasp knives but I would be afraid to use those...lol. A user is something I am still looking for in the clasp pattern...keep watching some but other things have taken precedence. Of the big knives I think that is the most appealing pattern ofter the big coke bottles. Just something about that big bellied blade...

This Schatt I just pick up is a biggun! Queen's latest offering in the File & Wire series. She's just almost 5 1/2" closed & just under 10" OAL.

The grey burl on the Queen is very unusual...very eye catching. The face in the bolster is kinda scary...oh wait...that's a reflection right....right....RIGHT!?

Birdseye Maple on that Queen.......and I'm not sure what that is showing in the bolster...I wouldn't look too hard though....to be safe. :p

Carried this or one like it in RVN "62".Don't know for sure but I have had this one a long time.At least the middle sixtys.Sure has cleaned a lot of elk, deer, antelope, steers, and sheep.it needs to be sharpened a bit.But it sure does the job and it is a biggun.love this ole knife.
