There is a thread on the Spyderco Forum hinting that the January release on this has been pushed back to March or April. Anybody hear anything?

Ahhhhh yes, I went over there after I was here. No worries!! I am just happy to have my pre-order in!! It will get to my hot little hand eventually!!

The delay is true, but it is only regarding the ZDP-189. We just confirmed this info. At this point, it does NOT effect the Delica 4 release. We're looking at March as an ETA for the Blue Delica w/ ZDP-189.

That was me who said there would be a delay. They said something about the handle being the delay. Anytime I post something I will have been talking to the knife company itself and not post hear say. Thank You! Kevin

What's the reason for the delay? Waiting for the dollar to gain value compared to the yen?

The delay is linked to the supply of the steel only. It took longer than expected to get the steel. The handle issue wasn't a problem, it was only that since the steel was delayed it was decided to go ahead and use the new handle. The handle change didn't delay the production though.
