just purchased a delica and theres a little (very little) play in the blade. is that pretty normal. and man is it ever sharp.......goleeeeee....thx for the feedback yall

I hate even a hint of blade play but it seems to be normal. You could tab the pivot to correct it. Be gentle though. I screwed up 4 of my FRN models this way....

It's normal. Every Spyderco lockback that's passed through my hands has had a small degree of vertical play, against the lock.

Pretty much all do a little bit, but not all of them are equal. It is possible yours is worse than most, or better. The steel-handle models are usually better, but right now the Delica with the stainless handle does not have the same steel for the blade as the plastic model.

If you got it at a store you could try looking at other units in stock to see if they have a better one. Some are very well fit and require a lot of force to make the blade move. Others are kind of loose and the blade will wiggle up and down easily.

thx yall you put it to rest. just a little pressure on the pivot when you hold it stops it and makes it good and snug..i'll keep this one...my 1st and its sharper than a mofo
