Just got the basic one with black blade...no serrations...had been watching this new knife and was intrigued by the shape and size...

Haven't really had a chance to put it through the wringer but it certainly is a sharp looking knife....It's a Darrell Ralph design collaboration and made in Taiwan...has ATS 34 steel....

Light, ergonomically it fits the hand nicely and just looks very balanced and proportional.

Anyone else tried one yet?:D

ATS-34? I thought it had AUS-8 on the standard models, and something closer to AUS-6 on the bolstered version. If it is ATS-34, it's a steal!

Danged. I wish they did make it in ATS! Oh well...

Still, one good looking knife and the steel is much more than acceptable. Let us know how it performs!

I got one from Darrel at the NYCKS in Nov. mine has the black blade and red maple burl handle. Not only do I think it's a great looking knife my wife does as well. I carry and use this knife a lot and not only is it great looking it's a very nicely designed and built knife. Hey, DDR design and made in Italy, it don't get much better than that. The steel used is fine, it holds a nice edge, all I've ever done is given it a minor touchup on a 204. So, great looking knife, nice fit & finish, IMO a great knife at a good price.

So what else is new:p :p :p
I thought Delta-Z knives came from Italy and not Taiwan. I have a nice Carbon fiber prototype with Sandvik steel that says "made in italy". I was led to believe that was their main production point, am I wrong AGAIN?.......Thanks

Wolfmann:

I believe they are made in Italy. From what I've gathered, they're an American foothold for Fox Cutlery out of Italy. Why they use AUS, I have no idea. I'm sure somebody here knows the whole story...

Oh my back,

A G Russell catalog has the Osprey shown in their new catalog. They list the Burl Scaled version as Z60CDV14 Swedish Stainless and the G10 Scaled versions as AUS-8A.

Also the specify all three as made in Italy, not Taiwan.
