Differences in steel types....

I recently got a Microtech knife that says it is 14-4CrMo. I see that most of them are 440-C.

What's the difference? Will mine hold an edge better/worse, longer/shorter, is it more/less brittle, etc....

This must be a FAQ around here somewhere.
