Let me say firstly that I am a big Emerson fan and will remain so. I have 5 Emersons now - all production, and I contacted Emerson Knives for some replacement clip screws as some of mine are either stripped or too short to engage the holes fully. Benchmade have done this for me several times at no cost whatsoever. Emerson Knives were going to charge me $4 for 12 screws and $16 postage. I can get 2 knives sent from the States for $16 postage.
Anyway, I'm a little disappointed and will use my Benchmade screws instead. I would have liked to have kept them all original however.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I'm probably famous for contacting Emerson Knives for replacement screws & other misc parts for my knives. This a rough break down of what they've sent me to date:
Pocket clip screws: 9
Scale screws: Full Set for two knives.
Pocket clips: 2
Pivot Washers: 6 (Wide & Thin)
All of these parts were provided at no charge.
Two knives were recently completely refurbished at no charge whatsoever. Didn't charge me for shipping either.

Mind you, mine were customs & not production but that shouldn't make a diference.

I've had nothing but great experiences with the two girls in their customer service department.

Thanks for the reply David, I can only guess because I live overseas now, that they are not keen on paying the higher postage rates. Your experience with them is great, and so it should be. I've spent a lot of money on their products and promoted them every chance I get. Benchmade sent me a heap of screws and it cost them $2.95 for postage. Benchmade and CRKT are the leaders when it comes to customer service from my limited experience.
