Do the Civilian/Matriarch have any uses besides Self-Defense?

I keep a Matriarch within easy reach in my car, in case I ever need to cut a seat-belt, or a carjacker.

I carry my Matriarch on my left side as a defensive tool to use in gun retention and to defend agianst choke holds etc. I have used it it slice off a seatbelt (cuts through it easily) and to cut a thick jacket off a gunshot victim when my shears weren't handy. The plain edged portion also does a mean job of openig a can of skoal.

I'm pretty sure they would make an excellent laxative for those bad guys unlucky (or stupid) enough to pick on a "victim" armed with either one...

Lol!:) Every tool has its use and all that! You want a screwdriver? USE A SCREWDRIVER!!! My Dad just used the tip of my Military as a screwdriver:eek: . No damage at all... This is CPM 440V we are talking about!

Of course there are other uses! Lets say a fly lands on your friends nose. You see aforementioned fly just sitting there. You open your civie and swing hard and fast at the fly. With just the razor sharp hooked tip of the civie you sever the fly's head off, leaving just the quivering wing laden body on your friends nose. Its a great way to impress your former friend. It works equally well using ATC Ranger Spike Tomahawk FYI.

The Civvy, in plain edge, works well to impress waiters, as one very careless DC Knife Knut showed us at a luncheon a couple of years back. He closed it without paying attention and cut his finger badly, leading to an impressive amount of blood on paper napkins until we got the flow stopped. The poor waiter was staring at all of this with bugged eyes and his jaw down around his feet!

BTW, he then looked up "Knives For Sale" and found a plain edged Civvy for sale and bought it that same day! I think that it was "Love at First Bite".
