Hey folks. I was thinking it has been a long time since I actually started my own thread. I do enjoy slip joint folders and spend a lot of time on the traditional folders and fixed blades forum here at BF. Do some of you all carry slip joint folders? I know some do, feel free to tell us what they are and or show us. Thanks for your response.

I carry a couple of slipjoints; one is a mini swiss champ and the other is a stag Hen & Rooster whittler.

I'm never without a SAK on my belt. I carry a Cybertool at work and home, and a Huntsman when I'm out in the woods.

I've also been carrying an A.G. Russell "seconds" Cattaraugus rope knife lately. This knife is the slipjoint bargain of the century.

I haven't in a few years but I'm thinking of getting back in the habit. I've been carrying IWB a lot more lately and that's freed up a pocket...

Usually two or three within reach.
SAK in briefcase.
DR, Peanut or whittler always in my right front pocket.
There is usually something in my car.

For "tactical" carry I do not consider a knife to be a viable option personally.

My most used tool is a mini SAK - a Wenger PocketTech on my keyring. Terrific combination of tools, especially the small philips blade and the mini screwdriver (for glasses & electronic components).

Also carry a Camillus Yello-Jacket stockman from time to time, especially when outdoors.

I carry a Buck 709 penknife at work and, away from the office, I carry a small version of a SAK Spartan. I do love my Spyderco Endura, Leatherman Wave, and other more high-tech knives, but I guess I can't completely shake my Grandad's old attitude that locking pocketknives are for guys who probably shouldn't be carrying a knife in the first place. ;)

In my pocket sits a Queen 2 Blade Serpentine Jack with Winterbottom Bone Handles, Not sure what kind os SS the blades are, I've had the knife for 7 or 8 years bought it at an Estate sale for $3.

I carry a Remington Waterfowler Stockman on and off. I happen to be carrying it right now.

I carry a Case/Bose Yuckon. It's a little large, but I've adjusted.

I am carrying a Black Handled Victorinox Tinker right now, with a Spydercard in my wallet.

It looks better around the Sheeple to pull out an SAK. You appear handy and not scary if you were to pull out a tactical knife. :)

Case med stockman in CV always; Bokers, Old Timers and Camillus usually in addition. Carbon steel is a must.

I carry a Soligen penknife which I bought from a fair second hand seven years ago. It has horn scales a increasingly worn blade, rusts a bit but then it goes through the wash every month or so :) Feel undressed without it.

I don't own any single-blade slip-joints, but I do carry a SAK with me all the time.

I have not carried a slipjoint with any regularity. On rare occasions I carry an SAK. I kinda think I should start carrying it more, though.

SAKs are the only slipjoints that I normally carry.

I carry a Victo Yeoman everday with an ARC aaa light attached to it with a couple of split rings. Depending on what i am doing sometime i will swap it for a Victo Cybertool.

The poll is not complete. I carry one actually, but not intentionally for the slip joint. My LM Micra has one. My answer would have been other, or as part of a multi tool.

To follow nifrand's lead, I keep a box on a table near my front door for keys and knives. One of these is in my pocket the vast majority of the time.

I just started carrying a small Case Texas Toothpick with nice shiny nickel-silver bolsters and a green bone handle. Less than 40 bucks and my girlfriend thinks it's pretty. Whenever I need a utility knife, or am asked for one, that's the one that comes out of my pocket. The tactical EDC in my other pocket is a BM drop point Griptilian.

As many forumites have noted, non-black knives are the only ones that many people find non-threatening. I didn't believe it until I started carrying and openly using the Toothpick. Color makes all the difference.
