Does anyone remember Pacific Cutlery?

I haven't heard of them in many years and I was wondering if they went under during my years overseas.
If I remember correctly, PC had the same butterfly logo as Benchmade now uses. Since PC was big in the butterfly knife field, I was wondering if there was a connection between the two.
Can anybody answer this for me?
PS
Back in the days... Pacific Cutlery was the ONLY option if you wanted a GOOD production knife and couldn't afford true customs.

They are now in the benchMade family for the past number of years.

I think Les's wife (yep) posted on BM Forums a few weeks ago concerning this question, that someone had raised over there. Apparently, Les was the founder, or at least a major partner, in Pacific Cutlery. They went out of business, or some such; at that point, Les started BM, or bought in, or some such again. Obviously, his wife did a better job of explaining, and much more accurate, I'm sure. If you are interested, you should be able to go over to BM forums www.benchmade.com, and burrow down to find it. I'm pretty sure it was in the last 30 days.
