I was just reading in another thread where Darrell Ralph offered to help someone who owned a discontinued production folder of his design, but I don't want to start an avalanche of menial tasks for someone who is likely very busy.
So, is there somewhere I could send my Maxx? It's gotten a little loose over the years, and the lock-up is very weak. The frame lock doesn't have enough tension to stay put. It won't fail a spine-whack yet, but the wobble bothers me. I've also stripped out 2 of the screws in the frame, and can't take the thing apart, otherwise, I'd try bending the bar a bit more.
It would be sad to say that this knife is seeing it's last days, because I know it just needs the right touch to be perfect again, and as it's a discontinued piece, I know it has some value. It's been one of my favorite Go-To knives for outdoor stuff, and I'd love to have it back to trustworthy working conditions.
Is there any hope for me?
Thanks in advance.
Daniel
