I'm new to the paypal an ebay things. Recently I bought a knife off the forumite ant won another on the ebay. After that Paypal refuses to charge my card anymore… Authentification failed - something like this. I know the card is OK. Oh, and another my card I've added to the paypal system works fine.
The question to the more experienced ones - whats up?
ps: sorry for spelling - i'm quite mad with it

You need to ask them Why the first CC did not go through, they have to tell you.

Yea, they do suck with all the hidden fee's but they have no compitition and so we have to use them.

I don't mind useing it here at the forum since you can add the 3%, and "cross border fee's", etc... if they choose to pay with it. I pay with USPS MO myself when I buy.

At FeeBay I don't even think they will let you add on the 3%. That means you would have to mark it up 3% and the customer has to pay it even if he does pay with a MO.

I love paypal but they can be a little slow replying and sometimes they really dont seam to care about there customers.

As bad as it seems sometimes to use PayPal, I find that being able to use it instead of having to go out and purchase a money order and going to the post office to mail it off makes things somewhat easier. Actually that is a bad thing for me because it makes it easier for me to buy more stuff that I really don't need.

paypal for me is very convient and I usually get what I buy sooner.getting a money order is sometimes a hassle.being a wheelchair user our local PO is not the most convient anyway.
I usually send someone in my family to purchase a MO but, sometimes I have to bite the bullet and do ot myself.

Expensive but very convenient. However, be very careful with spam email askng for verification of your account etc. Never respond to those emails. They look real but yhey're frauds, and very dangerous.

I couldn't access my account for weeks due to some error on their end. read bad things about them when they screw up, but it's usually solid. Just so damn annoying when there actually is a problem.

Yes, it is true that Paypal sucks. But, until something comes along with as much convenience, the suckage will continue. I use Paypal only because it's handy.

Paypal is the Devil's coin purse! :thumbdn:
Unfortunately I use it/them on occasion so I too am guilty of feeding the beast...
all da best,
rats...

IMO, Sellers should not be passing on the PP fees to the buyer. It is as convenient for the seller as it is for the buyer. Saves them the hassle of waiting for a MO or check and having to go to the bank to cash it or deposit a check and then waiting for it to clear. The fees are part of doing business with PP not the buyer.
