Domain Registrar

Okay I know it's not technically a gadget or gear, but I could use some recommendations. I've currently got my website hosted by textdrive.com but they do not reregister your domain for you every year.

So if someone uses a good registration service for their domain name it would be appreciated. Alternately if there is an easy way to do it myself I would love to hear about it.

That was the first on that came up in the search engine too. So they do a good job then?

I've used www.dotearth.com for years and never had a problem.

www.godaddy.com is excellent and extremely good at promoting itself

www.1and1.com is also excellent and a bit more "low key"

MSN live now has web hosting and domain name service. Not overly hi-tech, but EASY. Their Basic service is FREE!!! although it does have some limitations. I have been using their free service for a year now and absoultly no problems. They register your name and renew it every year at no cost.

I also have an upgraded account that hosts my business site and it is more than I need (I think it costs 59.00/yr)

I use godaddy for mine. The names are registered for my email use. I tried a few other services but eventually transfered the names to godaddy. I don't have a web site set up so I don't know that side of their service. You get a discount on renewing the domain when you transfer it to them.
