Some eye-candy for my fellow knife-nuts!!

View

The top knife is a Don Polzien "KAGE" KWAIKEN II (6" blade, A2 steel) and the bottom is a MODEL C KOZUKA (3" blade, BG42 steel). The blur at the edge of the top knife is the plastic against which it is leaning.

Regards,

Ed

PS Les - why do you keep making me buy this stuff?!?

NICE!!
The Menuki are also hand made by Don!! Probably a lost wax process using silver??
Gotta like the A2!

The Model C knife is different in that it has a copper handle wrap rather than using rayskin. That and the BG42 blade made it a must have.

Ed

Doesn't Don make a nice knife? If you want traditional, he's my pick. Yes, he also casts the menuki, from Sterling. He makes all my menuki-that's how I know!

Im glad RJ Chimed in. I have been buying knives from Don for the last 6 years. I met him in Las Vegas.

We found we had a lot in common. Both studied Kendo, military back ground, etc.

While his tactical work has really come a long way. His presentation pieces are historically accurate and for the money are hands down the best in the world.

I recently got my Wakiszahi. This of course mathches the Katana I received earlier this year. Don even made an incredible stand for them. Which will sit in my new office!

As Ed made mention of the "C" model Kozuka. This is apparently a big hit with the customers. Don has made 6 so far and all have sold almost immediately.

RJ, you still milking that "honey I need help going to the bathroom" line still?

Les: Sure am!! Got the stitches out yesterday-hard splint required for at least 1 month-therapy starts soon. I see a lower dealer discount as being the only way to re-coupe the lost wages.....

Glad to hear that you are on the mend RJ.
