Wasn't planning on buying a knife that day, but I decided I might just have to. The clerk hands it to me, and I was ever so disappointed to find that it was a flexible filet blade! (Catcherman). Went from happy to sad in about 5 seconds. Dammit, Sal, when are you gonna make me a BIG folder?![]()

Spyderco, unlike Cold Steel, is very popular with law enforcement personnel, and I think (perhaps mistakenly) that it would be more reassuring for a LEO to see that I was carrying a product he knew and respected.
To answer your question, I'd like a Spyderco folder with at least a 5" blade. I deal with dirtbags on a regular basis, and neither of my clients is comfortable with security carrying a firearm, so all I've got is pepperspray, a cellphone, and a pocketknife . . . and in the event that it actually becomes necessary for me to deploy a knife, I want it to be as effective as possible. Every inch counts. . .
