...someone posts knives for sale and you send them an e-mail with question, (not stupid questions, mind you), and they don't respond? It is not like I am looking at posts from 3 months ago. I made inquiries right after the post. I have to go find my happy place now.

Bob,

Nawwwww.....I have been lucky. I've never that that problem on BF. On Ebay that is typical.

You buy nicer pieces than I do, so you would have more questions......LOL.

Or there's the person that sends back a rude response to your second inquiry - when they haven't responded to the first one.

I also hate it when you put an item up for sale, and you get one person writing to you with questions every few hours. You politely respond to all questions, and the person responds with "I think we have a deal". But this is the last response. No - thanks but I've changed my mind - No anything.

Maybe I get too carried away. Maybe.....make plans to spend - or trade something, based on the positive responses that you have received form this person. And then your left hanging, feeling letdown.

Man, it happened to me again. Third time this week. Someone posted a knife for sale, I sent an immediate e-mail sayng I wanted it(minutes after the post date), plus I replied to the post in the forums. Nothing...and I am the only one that publicly responded. And the worst part is, I really want the knife.

Dogman, Sorry to hear that you got treated this way. The same thing happened to me. I know in my case, I will refuse to deal with this individual either buying or selling. I'm not saying they are "bad or ugly" but not good. It is only connon courtesy to answer emails in the order received or if the item sells and all emails cannot be answered at least post a response in the forum.
