I've been eying the Steve Dick influenced wilderness knife on Dozier's site since it was first posted. Does any one have expierence with one yet? The description says that he is leaving the edge thicker than usual, and I'm wondering if it will still be up to mundane tasks like slicing meat, bread, etc. There will obviously be some trade off in slicing ability, but I'm wondering just how much. Most of my camp use revolves around food preparation.
Any replies are much appreciated.

Based on my own experiance with two Doziers this knife
will still out cut the best of them while being able to chop
a bit. None of the other Dozier knives are recommended as
choppers. In fact Bob Dozier recommends against chopping
with his knives as they are NOT designed for that duty.
