Greetings all,
Hello, my name is Mongo and I have a weakness for the Dr. pattern with spatula. I prefer stag but will settle for jigged bone.
Now that is out on the table, I must relay my most recent knife show experience at the Badger knife show this past weekend in Janesville Wisconsin. This pattern is one that I carefully look for whenever I find knives, be they at a knife show or even the lowly gun show. I saw only two examples that came close to tripping my trigger: first a Remington single blade only but with beautiful dark brown jigged bone. The second a Crandle (?) blade w/ spatula in a mocha jigged bone. (had a bent spatula too!) First knife was being offered at $300, the second was "being let go" at a mere $500.
:grumpy:
Now, I have several stag Dr. w/ spatula knives... and all of them together didn't cost me even $300. So, did I find two RARE examples, or was my chain and/or leg or two being severely yanked?
