This is not a flame, OK? I special ordered an 18" AK Lite in the fall of 2000 and got an absolute 10/10 from Kumar. It replaced my
18"WWII and was used for everything you can imagine short of gross
abuse. Especially handy for clearing jeep trail at farm, fence row etc. Had not bought another khukuri until 04/02 and got 18"AK PGA from Bura which was a 10/10 just a bit heavier. Last weekend while cutting an old oak tree the Kumar Lite handle split and the blade is now loose, assuming the tang has broken. Point of this is the Kumar did more then it should have been expected to do so tang deal is no problem and quick fix. I believe Yvsa or Howard said listen to your blade and it will tell you how to use it. Guess I got lucky
