Has anyone ever tried an airbrush for dyeing leather? I'm just thinking it would apply the dye very even.

I haven't, but a lot of leatherworkers--especially saddlers and holster makers--use them to apply both dyes and finish coats very evenly, or even to do a faded effect from one color to another. Very cool stuff!
