EB or EB-L... Which do you prefer?

I've been looking at getting one of these, probably the spear point, but I can't seem to decide on the short or the long of it all. Which do you prefer?

I've got fairly small hands, so I don't see a problem with getting a good purchase on the standard EB. The only advantage to the EB-L that I can see is more handhold options and a slightly better reach. Is there anything else that I am missing?

BTW, what blade materials and grinds are available currently as opposed to previous versions? And did they always come with the Kydex Teklock sheath or has that changed also?

I had an EBLT and really liked it but found that it was just too long for daily concealed carry. I traded it for a DB and some other gear. I think that for a open carry in some kind of uniformed tactical job, the L version is better, for anything else, the shorter ones would work better. I plan to get an EBS or EBT soon.

Red,
It all depends what you want to do with the knife. Carry it exposed than the L is a good choice. Carry it concealed and the EB is a better choice. You will not lose anything from the EB as far as grip or hand hold. I'm a Strider direct dealer and have some EB's ready to ship. E-mail me at striderknive@worldnet.att.net and I'll hook you up right quick and in a hurry.

I sold an EB-LS and bought an EB-S from Vinnie. I agree with Lewis, it carries much better for we civilian types. I have found that the handle on the EB series has a real unique fit in my hand. When you first look at it the shape seems a little strange, at least it did to me, but after holding one you can tell some real world experience and thought process went into the design. You can't go wrong with either.

My vote goes for the EB-S if you are carrying concealed. I carry one almost every day and find it very easy to carry and very comfortable.
