Bruce-

I sure wish you'd learn to make a good knife before you keep posting all of these pictures

Very sweet knife. I really like that damascus, it's subtle, and a very clean pattern. That handle is very smooth and very pretty!

Keep the pics coming!

I have never seen anybody even come close to doing what you can do with cow bone...

Nick

Man, Bruce, that's beautiful! Now I'm sitting here wondering when your ricasso wrap tutorial will be ready...

That's a great guard, fantastic long blade, and a really sweet cut out in the blade. Fine stuff, just what I wish I'd do!

I'll bet ole Ebb is a happy man!! Or will be when he opens the package containing that beauty and sees it in hand!!

Is that SWEET or what?!!!
as I've said before:
"Bruce, you da man!"
He is also a mind reader.( A handy thing for a custom cutler

) I did a photoshop image of roughly what I wanted and Ol' Bruce ran with it.
That guard blows me away. Way better than what I drew!!
The whole piece is elegant, old-timey and classic. Just what I had in mind, but had trouble explaining.
I can't wait for it to get here!
Thnax again Mr. Evans

Boy am I glad that you like this Bowie Ebbtide. It was another one of those that nothing wanted to go right while putting it together....Between grinding belts that were delayed 3 weeks, sick kids, stabbing myself in the hand with it,and everything else that could go wrong did....But I did get it finished for you...

Sashcord,

I don't know about moving down there but I did ask about visiting his shop someday...

Hopefully, I'll get down someday to see how Bruce does it.

top shelf once again. to the newer guys i would like to point out how well you balance out your materials, some guys will used rose pattern damascus, damascus bolisters and then some wild handle material and the thing will be a three ring circus were its to busy to enjoy any of it. in my less that humble opinon.

Well the bowie got here last Friday...My first 'made to order' custom...
As I said in the other forum, I thought ol'Bruce forgot to put her in the box! I'm talking light... 12 1/2 oz on my postage scale. It is quick in hand, like it's part of you. That was a real concern (the "fit") ordering with touching, but Bruce did a bang up job. (I said it before, he is psychic)
The finish work is great, the damascus handle is the best! And the cowbone is sooo unique, non-knifeknuts think it is some sort of stone!
Count me as another happy customer...
OK Bruce close your eyes and tell me what I'm thinking of next
wink.gif

Thanks for the kind words Ebbtide,Lets see now, something a little smaller just as sweet,I guess about a 5 inch working type knife with a Damascus Blade (Or shiny it's a little fuzzy)a upswept clip to work with and a smaller guard and a hawk bill style handle with cow horn possiably...
biggrin.gif

Am I close ?????
