First off I apologize if this has been talked about recently but I did a search and could not find any recent threads. I was just wondering if there has been any news about when the release would be? This the 1st Kershaw I will be buying and I cannot wait for it to be released, anyways guys thanks in advance!

I don't think Kershaw is reporting release dates.

Sometimes the cleaning lady leaks information though. :D:D

Thomas W. from Kershaw moderates this sub forum. He posted a recent thread that seemed to indicate that he would not be posting release dates. The problem is that when he says: "We are hoping to release X on date Y." People post on date Y + 1 saying how bad Kershaw is for missing the hoped for date. It turns out that too much information seems to lead to unrealistic expectations and to much harping from the audience here. (My words, not Thomas'...)

Following was posted in the Knockout availability thread.

We're finishing up the first batch of Pistons and some more Echelons.

So apparently they are in production just not quite on the street yet.

I was wondering the same thing and found on a Kershaw Youtube video the following comment from "KershawKnivesMike":

A first-batch run is scheduled for this month. :)

From Kershaw on facebook:

A first-batch run of Echelons are being packaged up... going to dealers on first-ordered, first-serve basis!

Yes! This is great news!

I always imagined that the Kershaw cleaning lady looked more like this. :D:D

I'm driving myself nuts checking the knife dealers' websites mulitiple times daily waiting for these and the Piston's to show up.
:D

Any news coming out of Shot about it?
Well received by the dealer community. People seemed to like that we went a different direction in terms of design. Personally I'd like to see a family come from this specific foundation, but we'll have to see. Ultimately we were very pleased with reactions.
