Edge bevel profile on Project I

Yesterday, thanks to Murray Haday, a Project I arrived, one thing that I noticed immediately was that the edge grind is very acute. I quick measurement confirmed this with the blade being .035" behind the bevel which is .075" wide. Now it varies some along the bevel, but not by much. The bevel also appears to be slightly convex (approximating it at v ground would give a grind angle of about 13 +/- 2 degrees). Is this a typical grind?

Cliff..
That is the typical grind on the Projects..
Actually all of the CR Fixed Blades have that grind..
It seems to make a strong edge and excellent for chopping..
 
Cliff, I just bought a Project I from Murray at ProEdge.
He's a nice guy and very knowledgeable.
I would buy from him again
