I finally got an electric razor that shaves nice and smooth and doesn't burn my face! It even has a little tnk for lotion if you want to use it. That stuff keeps your face nice and cool but even if you don't use it you still get a good clean shave and your face doesn't sting afterwards!
It's a Phillips Norelco Nivea Cool Skin.
The head isn't like a regular razor, it's open and curved to fit your face. It also flexes a lot so it goes around the curves of your face. I love it and am very happy I finally have a good electric razor I can use daily!
Just wanted to pass on the info!

Moved.

I recently bought the top of the line Braun, after seeing it recommended by Consumer Reports.

Best razor I've ever owned.

I used a Norelco prior to the Braun for several years, and was pretty happy, but it was time to buy another $40 head, and my wife suggested I bite the bullet, and buy the Braun.

No regrets.

Argh, electric razors and multi-bladed monstrosities are what drove me to start DE shaving. I'm glad you found one that doesn't irritate the face.

I haven't had an electric razor since 1969 and it was a hand me down from from my late grandfather. Evidently they have improved.

I do not believe there is an electric razor that can match a properly done wet shave. I use them as a time saver; I would rather use an electric than rush shaving with a blade. For me they are at their best in a cool dry environment; hot and humid can be a disaster.

I use a Panasonic, which is very comfortable, and a Norelco which works better with longer, softer hairs but will rub your face raw if you use it improperly (i.e. rub just a little too hard). With so many brands, models, environments, and faces out there, it is hard to generalize.

My Norelco is not the model mentioned above. The Panasonic can be used with shaving cream, in the shower, etc., but I find it works best on cool dry skin.
