Emerson Super-7 Vs. Benchmade 975?

Just wondering how the Emerson Super-7 compares to the older BM 975 series. I've been carrying and using 975's since they first came out but like the wave alot too. I have experience with the Emerson Commander and like it.
Nowhere local carried the Super-7, so going on pics alone it doesn't look quite as refined as the 975, but more like a "swelled" Cqc7? I was hoping it's proportions were along the lines of the 975? thanks!
 
no super '7 but do have an I&I tanto and IIRC the blade lenght is about the same as on the super '7, if so its about the same as the 975. oh & i have had a couple of 975s. another diff is tip up on the EKI vs down for the BM, which i prefer. ATS34 vs 154. i prefer the EKIs to the BMs myself.
 
I'm an Emerson freak. There is only one Emerson I don't like, the Super 7. It is too much handle for not enough blade. I've owned two and kept neither.

The 975 is a much better large tanto than the Super 7. I was hoping the Super 7 would be an updated 975 but it isn't.

If you want a superb large tanto folder, go for the Super SOCFK available only from Extreme Outfitters http://www.tacticaledge.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=351 and damned if they aren't on a super blow out sale for only $ 180 (usually $ 240)

Thats what I got from looking at some more detailed pics as well. The super-7 looked almost clunky to me compared to the 975. On the regular C7, I prefer the Emerson to the BM though. I checked out that Super SOFCK and I think that's what I'm going with instead of the Super-7. Thanks guys!
 
the SOCFK is a great knife, imho better than the std CQC7 or the super '7, am sure the super SOCFK rocks too.

i carried my green G10 black tanto blade SOCFK today, hadnt carried it for about 2 yrs lol, its my fav production EKI, bar none.

before they waved the '7 i could NEVER figure why anyone would buy the '7 vs the SOCFK, the SOCFK was cheaper, too, go figure. i guess a lot of folks didnt know what a SOCFK was lol.
