Robert you are Rockin! That's beautiful! The damascus and ironwood is a natural combination and your blade is awesome. That's some kind of grind too, you deserve every compliment anyone can wing at you. Thanks for sharing,

Dave

Geez, Robert, That is a sweet bowie!! Good job and congrats on the magazine appearance. I love it when our forumite brothers make the mags.

Robert, That is one beautiful knife. While I am very impressed with flow, design and end product, I must caution you about dealing with the Bruces. I believe through their commitment to high quality, educating others and tireless advancement of knifemakers everywhere, they are actually plotting something devious. They cannot be as good as they appear. Just be cautioned my friend. I am sure they will produce something with an inclusion someday. ;) Terry

Terry,
My friend I agree with everything wholeheartedly except the plotting part. I can tell you the Damascus billet worked out just fine and I plan to get some more from OL Bruce...Just as soon as he gets his Lovely wife to pose with one of my blades;) :D

Although I have heard of some crops circles in the area where they live:D :D :D Hummm must be a plot.

Trust me Terry,I make lot's of mistakes and have to do allot of re-working on some of my knives and Damascus that I make.I am far from perfect..As Alex Daniels told me a few years ago
"90 percent of knifemaking is learning how to fix your Mistakes"
If you never messed up you wouldn't learn or have fun.
I used to make a skinner or small Bowie in a day after heat treat,Now it can take up to 2 weeks or longer to finish a Bowie and a week on a skinner as I just can't stop at just "OK" on them. Now if I stayed with the same style and pattern all the time I would be able to do them faster,But I like to learn new things and push myself and that is why I mess up..I have a couple of orders for a skinner like I have done years ago and I am curious if I can make them look better now than then....
Heck I don't see myself as any where near as good as allot of guys on these forums.Guess it is like Donna saying she is fat all the time..
I guess I better quit as I am getting long winded here.
Bruce

Bob,Just send a knife and I will get you the pictures before you get the knife back in the mail...She modeled with one of will52100's knives while he was here last weekend.
