Equipment to start?

Anybody have any suggestions for the bare minimum equipment needed to start making knives? I just want to start with stock removal. I am on a budget. This has probably been asked a million times before, but I thought I would ask anyway.

Bare minimum, is a file, a good heat-treat service, and materials

What you need to do is go up to the little search link on the top of this page and then do a search with similar topics to your question...you'll be reading for a while.
