Hey Guys, Was wondering if anyone had pics of an Izzy piggybacked to an ESEE 5 sheath

This is my first post, so if I mess up please be patient, Thnx

Welcome to the forums bro! I cant help with the pics as I dont have an ESEE 5 yet, and I dont see anything that you could have "messed up" :)

Enjoy your stay here!

I have both, but keep them separate intentionally.

I think that the 5 is not so large that it needs a "companion knife" and the izula is capable enough that it doesn't require a heavy-duty knife when it finds itself out of its league.

Keeping them apart is also a contingency plan in the event that I become separated from one knife, I can have the other as a backup - if they are both on the same sheath, they could both be lost at the same time, theoretically.

@tarditi, I would normally agree with you, but I am going to be using it for backcountry fishing. The Izzy is for cleaning fish and general duty, the 5 is for "just in case". My belt will already be crowded with my Glock on the other side. Tryin to make it a little more compact.

@spyder, Thanks for the welcome

I would like to see some picks of piggyback setups in general... anyone have a pic or a link?

Neck knife the izzy ? Or drop leg the 5 ? Or back pocket the izzy ? Tackle box ?

One of the Spanish knife makers had a piggyback sheath with Bowie knives. I'll try and get a pic.

Hope this helps I have one of the original style sheaths. I have a molle lock on the izula that I use to attach it through the elastic on the side of the front pouch. I also carry about 15' of para cord on the oppisite side. In the pouch i have a flint, Sak, Ah-1, and a micro grappling hook just in case lol

Here's one I did a while back:

And a removable piggyback I just got finished with, I think an ideal method to carry multiple pouches and sheaths to suit your situation:

KNIFEGUY90 that is great set up. I never thought of using that part of the 5's sheath for a little extra paracord. The attachment of the of the Izula using the mollie lock is excellent too. In my pocket of the 5's sheath I keep a lighter, a wetfire, a magnesum fire starter, a sharpener and usually a SAK. Also I have a paracord key bob with a compass/wistle/magnifier and a Streamlight Nano cliped on to it, tucked in on the elatic part. I will be adding the paracord. Great idea.
