Damn it monkey, you better start listening to me just because I'm a midget don't mean I'm a liar...........;)

You get that junglas yet monkey?

They're selling handles individually? That seems kind of odd to me since part of the appeal of ESEE's is that they have the handles individually matched up to the blades, so the fit is perfect.

Did you read the link?
Why don't people read?

Patience. We are working on a system that will allow the user to change out any handle they want and buy optional handles that fit EXACTLY.

Ah. Didn't even see the link. I got 2 hours of sleep last night.

I'm curious to see how they do this, nice to see that ESEE is going the extra mile in making sure the customer is covered for any maintenance/repair issues.

Basically, once we start this the system will only work on knives going forward. We are simply going to mill the perimeter of all of our knives so we can maintain an exact size. That way handles will interchange and fit. Shon is working on this now. Not sure when the swap over will happen though. When it does we will announce what serial number (of each model) that it will start with.

Well, you could have fooled me. I've been swapping and playing with different handle combos and never had a handle not fit exactly right. They are perfect. Now how do you propose to improve on that ? :D

You just have a bad eye. Remind me to never hire you to do QC for us. :D

Laser kerf will cause one side to be a few thousandandths different than the other side as well as one knife being bigger or smaller than the other on the handle. Please, please, please as a dealer DON'T be swapping handles out. If you do and they don't fit perfectly then your customer is going to blame ESEE for bad fit!

All of my ESEE's came with handles. I don't need any extras.

Thank you for this post. Unless it's a color thing for finding a knife when you drop it I see no reason to be swapping handles. Man, knife folks are like girls when it comes to color coordinating.

Some feel canvas micarta makes them look fat. It's a loose weave thing. Linen is slimming.:)

How about selling me a pair for my 5, since I tried to color mine and they did not come out the way I was expectiing, in fact they came out swollen and distorted.

I think I heated the water up to high......:o

If my Esee 5 brakes and I send it in will I get a new one with new handles?

J/K ;)

Nope, we put your old handles back on the new blade.

Look, what you did was not smart but with that said, drop me an email jeff@eseeknives.com and we will find a way to help you out ;)

If you close your right eye, you can get it within 2 tenthousandths.

I don't swap for customers. Only my personal knives that I play with.

As long as the handle matches my boots and my man-purse (pack kit), I'm okay. :D
