Different, huh? This is a Kabar Aerial Picture Whittler. Made in 1987 and one of 400 as I understand.
I first saw one of these 10-plus years ago in an A.G. Russell consignment catalog. Thought it was so
unique but must not have had the money because I didn't get it. I always kicked myself for not snagging it
but hampered my search attempts to find one because I forgot who the manufacturer was.
So I was blown away when I stumble-bumbled onto this one this week. Had to get it.
So whaddya think? Cheesy or cool?

That's an awesome knife. It appears to be in great condition.

How is the spring done? I kinda like the picture on the handle idea. Is the handle celluloid?
The chicks are hot.
I remember seeing the same pattern on a Boy's scouts manual from the 50's.

God Bless

The handle material is stated as "clear acrylic", so hopefully no celluloid issues there.

had sopme old areials yrs. back & an old areial barber stroup. that's a fantastic knife should be super rare. ariel was noted for pics. they went out about 1933.

I think I remember seeing those in SMKW's cat. back then. Was Kabar around in 87 or did someone use the name?
