I just received a Competition model yesterday.
Pleased am I, Yes.
One of the first impressions that came to mind was "fine furniture". Except, you don't want to sit on this, 'cause it will cut you.
This is a real beaut of a 'hawk, not a run-of-the-mill chucker.
The edge is shaving sharp, so it is a great tool whether or not you go flinging it. All other edges are softened, without blurring. Great handling.
The blueing is rich and deep. The hickory handle is smoooooth.
The Eye to Handle fit is flawless. The hickory is two toned on my 'hawk, so it is dark on one side and light on the other, I get a kick out of that.
Sorry, I won't get pics out for a while. I'll get a side by side with the AXE, HAND, MULTIPURPOSE M1 (aka Warbeast)for comparison.
While they are very different from each other, they are executed with an attention to detail that is very pleasing to behold.
I just wanted so sing some praise for a craftsman that produces work that I enjoy.
Keep up the excellent work Two Hawks!
Thanks
