Since it was a nice day, we decided to go out on the local trails for a short walk to see the trees starting to turn colors.

Nice Pics John. This weekend my wife and I took the Kids for a drive up north in Missouri to a little place we own outside of Hannibal. We also noticed a change in color already, looks as if we will get some nice colors early this year compared to the last few years. Hopefully we will be able to take the River Road up to Quincy in the next few weekends and enjoys the sights. I wish it were fall year round, love this weather!! Trevor~

I love the fall weather too. We're so dry here and have been for a while. Looks like the only colors we will have is different shades of BROWN.

Today was just a perfect day, started out in the 40`s then got up to 56. I spent the morning stripping down all my guns and lubing them up, while Connie cut up potatoes, onions, carrots, and a beef roast to put in the crock pot for beef stew. After cooking all day, I just got a bowl a few minutes ago, what a great way to end the day!

We finished up our perfect day with cocktails and a backyard fire ending just moments ago. A loaf of multi-grain bread is in the oven as I type. :)

I must say that I am a little envious of you guys that got out today but I am glad you were
able to and hope you enjoyed it. I spent all weekend at a waterpolo tourny with my son. First
game today started at 6:30 AM. We do have next Sunday blocked off for a family day, no swim,
no polo. Not sure of the whole plan but there will definitely be a hike involved.

We hope to get down to Mathieson State Park (near Starved Rock) either this Wednesday or next for more hiking.
