If memory serves, at another knife forum Peter, the head of Fallkniven, said that their first batch should be shipping in September, but that all of them are presold (don't know if that means the dealers they're going to have already presold to customers, or that enough dealers have ordered that Fallkniven has none in stock). He said Fallkniven's next batch are also already spoken for. American dealers should be receiving the new models and bare blades a few months later, but don't expect to see the 5cx at your dealer anytime soon.
I love the look of it too. Judging from Fallkniven's listed price on the other knives and the actual prices from Internet dealers, I expect the price would be much less once the inventory catches up. Still way too expensive for me. I do plan on getting the non damascus version because I like the design.
