Gifted away my wide blade EDC. Every time my 24 year old son came over, he would pick it up, and check it out, so I gave it to him tonight. He sure wasn't expecting it. Made his night. My one and only custom is gone, but will go to good use.

Great to hear it was passed on. Maybe he will have it to give to his kid one day. Awesome!

Feels good and bad all at the same time doesn't it!?!?!?

My wife and I gifted my KFU Bushcrafter to a great outdoor lovin' friend on Christmas. Made her day and I felt really good about it!!! Miss the knife though!

I'm sure your son will cherish the knife knowing it was yours at one time and you were willing to let him care for it and use it. Don't be surprised if you see him using that knife for the rest of his days!!!

Great Job TW!!!

Yeah, it's kinda bitter sweet, but went to a good kid. Besides, my son got me an ESEE 3 for Christmas, lol.

I gifted away 3 KFU's this past Christmas. A hunter for my father & a bushpik-wide blade EDC combo to a couple that live on a farm that I often hunt on. Sad to to see them go of course but it was a nice gesture & I know they will all get used really well. Hence Knives for Users!

Mine will all be gifted to Sons & Grandchildren.....after the Will is read.

Don't feel bad, I bet Chris will make you another one! And opening a new knife and breaking it in is pretty fun. Just remember, time heals all wounds... ;) Ahhh..now I feel like Dr. Phil...

I bet he'll love it! My dad gave me two knives when I was growing up and neither were anywhere near that quality, but I still have them to this day. Actually, my son has the slipjoint and I've still got the Schrade hunting knife.

There's a kid that I'm hoping to take on the youth mentor hunt next fall. I may have to order up another one just for him.

I was glad to do it. Like I said, every time he came over here in the man cave, he would pick it up, check it out, say, "man, this thing is freakin' sweet". He has a nice bag I gave him awhile back for a small EDC/BOB that he said he was gonna put it in.
