What is everyones favorite combat/fighting oriented knife?

I'm guessing you're asking for what looks and whatnot people prefer, because I don't think too many people will/can comment on how good a certain model was at slicing up that foe or whatever...

I think the Benchmade Nimravus is a pretty swift little blade which can be used as a utility blade as well. The CRKT Kasper Companion is kinda nice too.

He keeps it on his boat out in the marina so im guessing he uses it for alot of things like cutting rope,fishing line, fish, food prep.

i like my mad dog SEAL ATAK2 quite a bit,

Cold Steel GI Tanto with handle scales (not the cord wrap version). 1055 (or is it 1050?) steel with sharp false edge. Cheap and good and IMO a decent fighting knife as well as for utility. Sheath is not leather so knife can be stored for a long time in the sheath with no fear of rust.

Might wanna get a look in the Knifemaker's for sale subforum, got a lot of good blades there, might fit ur bill.

For small knives I like things along the lines of a La Griffe. For mid sized knives it's hard to beat a good
5-7 inch dagger or bowie. For anything larger than that a nice big machete is always a fine choice.:thumbup:

My understanding is the kukri is a very formidable fighting knife. I know if i was going to have to use a knife for attack or defense the first one I'd grab would be my kuk, with the every trustworthy ka-bar as backup. Plus they are both very useful designs too.
