Greeting folks. Relatively "new" to Blade Forums (I've lurked around over the past year or so), but not new to bladesmithing. I'm sure I know a few of you guys from some of the other forums, and for those who don't know me, my name is Graham Fredeen, and I'm a part time (or "weekend") bladesmith. I spend as much time in the shop as I can, but its never enough and life always seems to get in the way, but I do the best I can with the time I'm allotted. As soon as I finish off a few more blades, I'll upgrade the BF account to a knifemaker account, and offer up some of my work for sale here on the forums.

Just finished up a custom commission, so I thought this would be a good chance to introduce myself and let everyone see some of my work.

I did this feather pattern damascus bird and trout knife for a knife collector down in AZ, and it ships out to its new home in the morning.

152 layers of 1095 & 15N20, in a feather pattern damascus blade.
OAL: 8.25"
Blade length (tip to guard): 4"

Stainless Steel guard and spacers. African blackwood accent, stabalized curly maple handle, with a mosaic pin.

I also took the pictures. First time I've gotten any "decent" pictures of my work. Finally took the time to build a photo light tent, does wonders and I wish I had built it a long while ago.

Now THAT'S how to make a solid first impression! Impressive all over.

Welcome to Bladeforums (kinda) and I look forward to your posts. I looked at your website and was equally impressed.

Be well,

Coop

Nice knife, nice sheath.
The fit/finish/execution seem to be very good.

Welcome to the BF and I will look forward to seeing more of your work.

Thanks for the kind words folks. Glad to be here to share with you folks in the world of blades.

I'm a bit "slow" with my work (due to lack of shop time). But it comes along eventually ;) . The next ones I finish I'll be sure to post for everyone.
