Just saw this post in the Busse forum.

Anyone catching this on Travel Channel?? What a cool show.

He needs a Busse. I think he uses a Fiddleback muk for much of his skinning, it appears. Too bad he didn't have a. . . nah, I won't say that. But we could use a Busse on that set. :)

Can anyone verify if Andy's knife is appearing on this show? Busse forum jealousy aside, that would be really cool if it checks out. :D

Can someone post a link to this video? Neato.

Not a good shot of the knife, but you can see he is using a Nessmuk here:

Will look around later, see if I can find anything else.

My pausing skills suck... but right around 47 seconds it looks like there is a maker's mark on the spine. Maybe.

I think that's rust. No wait! I meant patina. :D
Seriously, I see a couple of spots, but not anything discernible as a maker's mark.

I couldn't get it paused with it in screen... I just saw something on the spine while it was moving back and forth.

Found another thread on this in W&SS, someone said it looked like a Jeff White Nessmuk to him:

I thought it looked like a Jeff White Nessmuk.

I'm about 99 % certain it a Jeff White Nessmuk. I own one and I got a good shot off the handle watching the show. It looks like the same wood choices Jeff gives you along with the same handle shape and brass pins.Plus blade color and finish. The only thing I think might have been different was thickness. The TV blade looked a little thicker than mine does, but can't prove it. The sheath was not the standerd one.[...]

The one in #6 foxx references is an ML, but the one in #7 is a Jeff White.

i'm pretty sure it a Jeff White knife. i've been reading up on them and they seem like good knives for the money, or at least that what i've read

Okay, well, if it's a Jeff White, onto the next question then...
Andy, when are you sending this dude a Nessmuk to appear on his show?

Cool that he is using a Nessmuk anyway. Wouldn't mind sending one to him to see which he likes best.

He was in the Montana - lewis and clark episode tonight using the Nessie. I think it is a Jeff White. you get a good look at it when he cuts up the Antelope he finds left by a wasteful hunter.

I think Andy should definately send one of his! I found on Facebook (Search through Google) where he was answering questions after a show and he was asked about different knives.

Steven Rinella:
"I use a lot of different knives, depending on my mood. Your probably thinking of my Knives of Alaska Jaeger boning knife or my Havalon replacement razor knife with autopsy blades"
